It started in 2017 with a curious teenager and a SoloLearn account. Today I design and ship complete software systems — from polished marketing sites and enterprise web applications to business intelligence dashboards and GeoAI pipelines built on satellite imagery. I hold a Bachelor's in Geoinformation Technology and a Master's in Data Science, and I've spent over 5 years yelling "Eureka!!!" more often than "I give up." 😎
I'm Mwenda Jaymoh. My coding journey began in 2017 when teenage curiosity drove me to complete interactive Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, HTML and CSS courses on SoloLearn. That spark grew into a career spanning websites, enterprise web platforms, business intelligence systems, REST APIs, mobile applications, and GeoAI pipelines — with a Bachelor's in Geoinformation Technology and a Master's in Data Science informing every architectural decision along the way.
Most of my work sits at the intersection of full-stack engineering and spatial intelligence: I build the website, wire up the API, set up the database, train the model, and ship the whole thing as a production system someone can actually use. Operators, planners, and business owners don't need clever notebooks — they need dashboards that load fast and models that earn trust.
I've spent 5+ years in Agile/Scrum environments, understand cloud infrastructure, and enjoy the deep end of the stack. Failing to acknowledge that my Geoinformation Technology degree introduced me to OOP, functional programming, GIS concepts, and data management would be like telling a joke without a punchline. 🤣 Those foundations fuel everything I build.
Ship systems, not notebooks. A model or design is a component — the working product around it is what creates value.
Data has geography. Even "non-spatial" datasets often have a location hiding inside. I look for it first.
Design for the operator. Whether it's a dashboard or a website, the end user shouldn't need a manual.
Own the stack. From PostGIS schema to Nginx config to React component, I'd rather understand every layer.
Curiosity compounds. It started with SoloLearn in 2017 — the habit of asking "how does this actually work?" never left.
